  • What?
    Work Process Analysis is the activity of mapping out a current work process with the intention of identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Why?
    In order to streamline the Client’s Work Process and identify a future state, one needs to also identify and remove anything that has no added value to a work process
  • How?
    Through the assembling of PVA’s Brown Paper which is a visual way to understand workflow and the handoffs between the different process stakeholders
  • Who?
    Process Stakeholders: They are responsible, accountable or responsible for a given process and/or directly impacts the it. This could be a Supervisor, Manager, Executive, etc.

Simple: It helps formulate a problem which leads to a resolution

Problems, when properly stated, should be quantifiable.

Example: We lost 20 minutes searching for cables

Root causes are the reason(s) why the problem occurs in the first place.

Example: Cables do not have a designated storage space in the shop
