PRIORITY OBJECTIVES:

To focus on improving their overall Plant effectiveness and % schedule attainment. Ultimately, they were focused on maintaining customer service levels as their business grew.

PVA’S RESPONSE:

To implement a customized Management Operating System to optimize and control their processes. This was accomplished through:

Ø Enhancing standards and their detailed planning process

Ø Enhancing Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and follow-up and reporting mechanisms

Ø Installing a problem resolution mechanism for eliminating operational problems

Ø Improving Plant-wide communication

In addition, Managers and Supervisors were provided with the appropriate training and coaching to increase their overall levels of active supervision. The resulting behavioral changes ensured that expectations were being clearly communicated and followed up on. Strong Executive leadership at every step of the process secured their overall success.

PROJECT RESULTS:

As a result our Client achieved improvements in:

Ø Plant Overall Effective Rates

Ø On-Time Delivery Rates

Ø scrap and rework levels

Ø Inventory levels

In addition, their customized Management Operating System enabled optimal resource allocation and employee skill flexibility.

A subsequent improvement project was completed in their Sales and Administrative Areas.

PERPETUATION OF RESULTS:

PVA has completed four system audits across both Plants. Ownership has been successfully transferred to our Client. Their Continuous Improvement Coordinators conduct regular system audits and analyze and action their audit results. PVA continues to provide on-going support as required.
