FLEXIBILITY LEAD TO BIG RESULTS

PRIORITY OBJECTIVES:
To generate improvements and ultimately savings in an environment that was fixed in both volume required and crewing levels. Creativity and flexibility were used to target results in:

To install a customized Management Operating System that could quickly and efficiently be used to better plan, execute and follow-up on the work being completed. The approach additionally focused on:
In addition, emphasis was placed on the frequency and effectiveness of the communications throughout the organization. Training and coaching was also provided to all Managers and Supervisors to support the required behavioral changes.
PROJECT RESULTS:
Some of the results that our Client achieved were:
During the entire project, there was not a single reportable accident. In addition, Unionized Supervisors were effectively setting and following-up on expectations and had increased levels of ownership and accountability.
PERPETUATION OF RESULTS:
Perpetuation is being realized through PVA’s on-going partnership with this company. PVA is now conducting audits in order to support site-wide Management Operating System compliance and the installation of their Continuous Improvement Program.

- increasing compliance to work required
- reducing the lead time during Shutdowns
- reducing cycle times to bring the Generator’s on-line faster
- using in-house and Contractor crews more effectively
- delivering accountability every day on budget, actual and variance
